Summer Girlfriends

At the beginning of July a strange email popped up in Canadian Girlfriends' inbox. It was from another Chicago band called My Canadian Girlfriend. We were aware that they existed, but from looking at their website (which I am definitely not about to link to) we thought it was a pretty safe bet that there would be no problem with similar names. Of course, when you assume you make an ass out of you and me. We were politely asked to change our name because they felt "people are likely to be confused by our respective names." However, we felt there would be no confusion and replied that we were not going to change it.

Fast forward a week and we get another awesome email in our inbox - a cease and desist from their lawyer!
