Oxford, England

Had such an awesome time in England thus far, it was rad seeing Josh again. I had met him in Chicago but only for a second. In the morning he took us out for some breakfast and we were starving

breakfast, typical of this region. If you are wondering what the black things are..they are mushrooms and they are fucking delicious. This was definitely the BEST english breakfast I've ever had, actually Bobby had it, I ordered oatmeal

Off to Oxford! Totally got stuck in traffic but still got there with a bit of time to run around. Paul, Tim, Sam, Theo and I ran over to the Natural History museum and ran into Charlotte on the way!!! YES AWESOME! This is where the only remiands of the Dodo exists, or something

I've never been to a Natural History Museum - they are totally rad!

petting a cheetah, don't worry we were allowed

My Little Pony

Everywhere in Oxford is old and gorgeous

This is Christ Church

This is also home to Harry Potter, or at least some of it is filmed here

So back to the club in time to see Elephants, check out the bass player..totally England's version of Myles Charlie

Theo and Chris in the "backstage" that we created

Charlie, Chris and I - apparently only American's call Charlotte Charlie..oh well it's a rad nickname

My new favorite band - This Town Needs Guns
We get to play with them 2 more times and I am so stoked

Brandon Flower and British Myles
before

after
Just kidding...they didn't puke. But there was a hell of a lot of vomit outside the door of the club, like this is one of many piles. ew.

WHERE WERE YOU ON JUNE 16th?!?

seriously, this photo doesn't do it justice, but this is Dean. 20 year old British Myles Charlie - he was really nice I hope we become facebook friends. Actually all the dudes in Elephants were awesome, I liked Owen because he dances like Billy Elliot

it's like 2am and we need to get up at 530am to head to Ireland..things are starting to get majorly goofy

party bus

Charlotte's awesome architecture project, she's so rad she won a prize (not for this though)

it's around 330am right now, setting alarms to wake up in about 2 hours. Awesome

Oxford was the best for so many reasons, mostly because I got to hang out with Charlie again, but also because it was such a lovely day, the city is awesome, everyone was amazing and This Town Needs Guns were fucking fantastic.

I apologize if this seems a bit rushed and there might be some spelling errors, I'm currently sitting in a really fancy restaurant in Sheffield because it's the only place with any wifi and I'm really sick :(
There might not be any updates for a while - stupid England hates wifi

Kingston, England

Again, had to wake up super early to catch a ferry and again missed the ferry. Not our fault though, the lady at the boarder was a bit dim and didn't understand why an American, Canadian and dude from Portugal were heading to England and had no idea what to make of our work permits.

Ferry ride across the channel, it's windy which is why I'm making this terrible face..but I had to get a photo of the white cliffs of Dover! The inspiration behind one of my favorite poems "Dover Beach" by Matthew Arnold

Yay Theo is here! Finally I can laugh again! I went a whole day without Conrad

word
We played a place called the Fighting Cocks, if they served burgers it would have been Kuma's - it was totally awesome and had a strict "No Chav's Allowed" policy. I wish places in Chicago could have a "No Douchebags Allowed" policy too.

There were 2 bands that place before Hot Club and everything happend so fast that I didnt' even get to see them but I could hear from a distance and it sounded awesome. Maybe not as awesome as Hot Club de Paris though

Steve

FAKE TOOTH!

people couldn't all fit into the room with the band so these people had to like climb ontop of one another to try to get a peek

Joan of Arc, one show down 9 more to go

awe look how cute he is

the merch is really out of hand

CANADIANS! Garret and David (I think) from Edmonton

Late night alley snacks

So after the show we were trying to figure out where to stay..there was talk about staying with this kid who's parents were out of town but he was having a party, or going to a bar and waiting until it closed to go home with the promoter. Thank god that Josh was there and took us home with him to Wimbledon

Josh's Secret Garden

YAY ENGLAND - this tour is about to get weird

Lille, France

Paris was really an awesome place and we had so much fun - Bobby, Conrad and Folgo ended up staying awake until at least 5 I think (I went to bed at a much more reasonable time of 330) the alarm went off at 10 - lots of things to see before we head to Lille! I didn't want to waste a minute in Paris

This is what we woke up to - Folgo's got major style...and I think he's still drunk

How do you know you had the BEST 2 weeks of tour..the black circles under your eyes reach past your nose :)

Group photo!

I can't for the life of me remember which district we were in...11th? Does Paris even have districts? Anyways, it was totally beautiful outside of Folgo's apartment

Bobby's starting a new rap group...name to be determined later

Now we are at the famous cemetery where Jim Morrison was burried

so, let me explain. This guy was a journalist aparently, and he was murdered and at the time had an erection I guess. So for some reason they made his tomb in the likeness of his death and that's why he's got a major bulge in his pants. It's said that if you rub it you will get pregnant - we rubbed it because it was funny, not because I want a baby, ever.

this place is huge! We kept getting lost, but then I took a photo of the map so we would always have it with us. I'm so smart.

Oscar Wilde's Grave - this is what I wanted to see at the cemetery

it took us a while but we finally found Jim Morrison's grave, not as awesome as I expected

I believe the motivation for this photo is 'look cool'

Ok I REALLY wish this photo worked - but I'm posting it anyways. I was a little late pulling out the camera to capture none other than New Found Glory getting into this cab. I wanted so desperately to run over to them and make "my friend's over you" jokes, blast, next time I'm in Paris.
This is also the last photo from Paris, we ended up staying until like 4:30 eventhough we were supposed to be in Lille at 230, we just didn't want to leave Conrad. There are no photos of the hugs goodbye, I was too sad :(

great vegan feast with totally delicious beer in Lille

Abbey Road

getting in our 10 minute walk to see the town

Black Atlantic - totally awesome band from the Netherlands. The singer Geert was in some hardcore band that I forget the name of, but this band sounds sooo beautiful and was totally not expected

we stole Megan and her flute for this version of Total Eclipse of the Heart

The Black Atlantic all together. Bobby had a major man crush on Kim - hopefully we'll get to see them in the Netherlands!

Lille was pretty cool, we didn't get to experience it at all but everyone we met was super awesome and the show was fun. This is the last of just Bobby and I in the van. Better enjoy it!
